Direct Care Fact Sheet

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is growing steadily across America. This pre-paid model of care is for anyone, especially those patients without insurance or with a high deductible/out-of-pocket insurance plan. As a member, DPC allows you to see your provider in a timely manner when you need to. Providing excellent care for you is our health-care provider’s highest priority.

You can benefit from becoming a member of Heartland Medicine Colville Clinic Direct Care in several ways:

  1. Financially
    • Health care savings
      • You can save on your health-care cost through DPC. Many patients will find they get the majority of their medical care needs met through the DPC practice. DPC  works well when combined with a high-deductible insurance plan which covers other high-cost health-care items (such as hospital, specialty, and surgical care), or when combined with a health ministry plan such as Christian Healthcare Ministries.
        • We recommend DPC members obtain or retain catastrophic insurance coverage whenever possible.
    • Medicine cost savings:
      • We provide most common prescription drugs to you at our in-house dispensary for cost + $2.00/prescription.
    • Outside services savings:
      • We negotiate for discounted rates on such services as imaging and labs, procedures like colonoscopies, and sub-specialist evaluations.
  2. Personally
    • Self-scheduling:
      • Being able to schedule your own appointments will give you greater personal freedom in your medical care.
    • Unlimited appointments:
      • Having the ability to see your provider unlimited times during any given month – all for the same low monthly membership fee – will give you peace of mind and allow you to have the quality care you want and deserve.
